Please be aware that UbiBot WS1 and WS1 Pro devices cannot connect to 5 GHz-only networks. To ensure compatibility with your network settings, please verify the following:
- Radio Mode: Should be set to 2.4 GHz or a 2.4/5 GHz Mixed Network.
- WiFi Protocol: Must be 2.4GHz (802.11 b/g/n) Compatible.
- WiFi Channel Supported: Channels 1-13, noting that some earlier models may only support channels 1-11 as per US standards.
- Channel Width: Should be set to 20 MHz or “auto.”
- WiFi Security: Your WiFi router should use OPEN, WEP, or WPA/WPA2 security settings.
- Internet Access: Your router should not require any additional login procedures to access the Internet once connected.
- MAC Address Filtering: Should be turned off on your router.
- VPN/Proxy Server: Avoid using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or Proxy Server.
- WiFi Isolation: Ensure that your router does not have Wi-Fi Isolation enabled, as some “guest” networks may have this setting by default.
- IP Protocol: Your router supports IPv4.
- Network Extenders/Repeaters: If in use, they should have the same network name (SSID) and password as your primary network.
- 2.4/5 GHz Mixed Network: If using, ensure your mobile device is connected to the 2.4 GHz network during the setup process. If your device auto-switches to the 5 GHz network, you may need to temporarily forget the 5 GHz network and reconnect after setup.
- 2.4 GHz Network Setup: If using a mixed router and you haven’t set up a 2.4 GHz network yet, please do so to connect your UbiBot device. Access your router’s admin screen by typing the router’s IP address into an internet browser. Refer to your router’s manual or a list of common router IP addresses to find your router’s IP.
By following these guidelines, you can ensure that your UbiBot device connects successfully to your network.
